InnovAge programme
InnovAge is an at-home help program for older adults that helps them stay independent. However, the program can be problematic, as a former employee described. She worked for InnovAge from 2010 until 2018 and said she was frequently asked to work more than eight hours. She said she was also forced to work overtime because the company had difficulty keeping employees. Due to this, she was often required to perform tasks normally done by nurses and medical assistants.
Clients complained about the company's services, saying they couldn't get adequate service. The Centers for Medicare (and Medicaid Services) shut down the program in September 2021. As a result, it was no longer able to accept new Medicare patients. Investors were also informed that it had contributed over $13,000,000 to Colorado's Medicaid program and that the state attorney General requested information regarding billing.
